I went to the marine museum in Rotterdam and the boats are great.

I happened to be passing this bridge at the right moment. Its been raining almost the whole time I have been over here. But it hasn’t dampened my spirits. The shows have gone well despite the the very hard load-in days. Yael, the director, likes the work I have been doing and said that the lights have never really worked. They were designed by someone else for a black box space and we seem to be in proceniums almost always. We have decided to do a major overhaul of the lights for the rest of the tour. So it looks like my “break” in Philly will consist of do the rough video edits for Beautiful Boy for 1812 productions, meeting about Bug with theatre exile, redesigning MoLoRa lights, taking care of Chris and AMP, and enjoying my wife. Seems like a tall order for 6 days. But I will be back home again on the 12th. So I will only be away for two weeks before we do the American tour.

This is a picture of Bill’s Danish half-brother Wilhelm.

These are some very cool hand painted tiles that cover the inside of the Tropen Teatre we are in now. Below is Ella, Yeal’s 7 month old being held by Mama Nosumthin. We are having an affair to remember, she is the biggiest flirt with me. Starts jumping up and down and smiling coyly for me. The baby, not the nanny.

Below is a view from the canal trip I took in Amsterdam.

I will post some funnier pictures in a bit. I have also had a chance to meet some friends of my friend Nicco from Phi Kap. They have taken care of me and it has been fun to hang out in there coffee shop for the two seconds I have had here and there. I have had a really great time so far and am looking forward to the rest of the tour. It is a lot of work, however, so I am looking forward to the fringe fest and being able to take a break. By break I mean be the Venue manager, Tech Director, and Lighting designer for Wondering Alice.
Then I have until Dec off in Philly if I want, and I want. But in Jan and Feb I will be in Australia and Tazmania. I hope to visit Jeff Gilbert, the boat designer, a few times as we will be doing the show all over Australia. Tommy, the producer, is going with us and wants me to take him sailing for a few days. I can’t wait.
Then back home for a few months, then, if all goes well off to Isreal to do King Lear for a while.
Talk to you all soon
Paul
