Your quilts are beautiful; I especially love this red one with the birdies! But I like any color as long as it’s red. And I’m a sucker for birdies… I just finished a quilt with a Minky backing but I thought I couldn’t/shouldn’t quilt through the Minky because it might ruin the pile. I just quilted the quilt top to a thin cotton batting, then layered the Minky on the back and after I bound it I went back and did some tacking through all three layers. But after it went in the wash the prewashed fabrics decided to shrink a bit more and now I’ve got a saggy Minky backing, so I wish I’d done mine like yours. Do you have any tips or tricks to share about quilting with Minky? Your projects are all so beautiful. I love the T-shirt dresses you made, too.
