Ode to my sweet Petunia

Filed under: The dog, Petunia — perrymoffitt @ 4:33 pm

I was never a dog person and when hubby told me he wanted a dog I envisioned chewed shoes and middle of the night barking. And while those things happened when she was a puppy, I forgave her instantly because she really is a smart little girl. It’s not just us, other people mention her intelligence to us and she has quite a large fan club. Which includes my dad and step mom apparently.

Paul is working for my dad this week on dad’s cabin in Maine. Petunia is being praised and spoiled constantly according to my husband’s reports. More than a few treats and my dad has deep conversations with her late at night. I am sure she is having a grand old time chasing crabs and chipmunks but I really miss her. I keep looking for her smiley tail-wagging hello when I get home. Only a few more days until they return. Turns out I can love a Pooch.
