Thifty Wedding Volume #3, the little details

Filed under: Thrifty Wedding — perrymoffitt @ 1:56 pm

I am going to continue the multi-part blog series on the Labor day wedding I helped coordinate and design. My Sister- In -Law married the man of her dreams and I was put in charge of making the event look fabulous, on a budget of course!

I did a little surprise for the chair covers for the Mr. and Mrs.

I saw a similar thing on Pinterest and knew I wanted to use this scrabble letter fabric immediately. The save-the-date card for the wedding was scrabble themed so I knew they would love it. I made these as pillowcases and after we cleared the dishes I unpinned them from the chairs and snuck them in the bedroom.

I also made some printed magnets on my home computer for the car that took all the girls to get their hair and nails done in the morning. A little photoshop time and a $8 sheet magnet pack from Staples!

We rented the chaffing dishes from the party rental company and had the cater deliver the food. The only detail I had to do for the food was the labels! $1 each at Michaels!

I wish I could take credit for this one, but the bride and groom made their own cake topper! They got a little clay and crafted away! Didn’t it turn out fantastic?
